C A R A V A S S I L I S

S T R I N G Q U A R T E T

The Caravassilis String Quartet was established in 1999 and it is now based in Paris. In December of 2005, the quartet was admitted in the class of the Ysaÿe Quartet at the Conservatoire Supérieur de Paris. At the same time, the Caravassilis String Quartet met Caravassilis, the composer and started a fruitful collaboration the result of which was a commission for Constantine‘s String Quartet No. 1 (of the Youth). The premiere took place in Paris on Jan. 8th 2006. Future plans include a tour of Greece and several recording projects. A second quartet is underway and will be premiered during the 2006-07 season in France.
