Message from the Artistic Director:
The London Song Festival is
a new event in
The London Song
Festival is born out of only one thing: my love of the song repertoire and my
desire to share this love with the widest possible number of people, from
school pupil to senior citizen. The world of song is a world in miniature - a
short song of three minutes or less can contain the whole gamut of human emotion
and experience, and be a perfect blending together of music and poetry, singer
and pianist. It is my heartfelt wish that more and more people, both within the
music profession and outside it, will enter into this world, savour and enjoy
it, and be transported by its magic.
